Flash Code 16 could be B-1888 Passenger airbag shorted to ground or B-1925 Passenger airbag circuit shorted to battery or ignition. Checked fuses they are good.

Have a 2005 F-150, 4x4, AT, 5.4. Swapped seats with a 2004 f-150. no complications with install. Now the airbag light on the gauges display stays on after flashing "Flash Code 16". How do I fix this?

Is it something I can fix myself or does it have to betaken to a mechanic? Is it expensive? I do not get any DTC codes.

I have checked the internet extensively and have nothing that addresses fixing the problem that I feel comfortable doing.

Vehicle: 2005 Ford F-150 Extended Cab, 5.4
