B1361 - will my airbag still work if i do not fix this?

my airbag light stays on. i paid 70 to find out it is the drivers pretensioner circuit. if i do not fix this will the air bag still work?

No, The BPT or belt pretensioner has to satify the SRSCM (supliment restrant system control module) , when the seat belt squib or the connection is either open or non functional,The airbag will not deploy in a accident,
