Question

My honda civic vtec 1.5 l eng lmodel D15Z1 eng check light always come on as soon as the eng idling.l suspect the sensor is not working.and the fuel consumption is a bit high.anyhow to really pinpiont the cause.where is the diagnostic connector located. And what ? diagnostic tool to confirm the checking

The year of the vehicle make it a OBD 1 compliant, in 1996 is when the standardization of the OBD 2 connetion where mandatory on the vehicle, In order to get a code a connection is made where its diagnostic is jumped togher and you would count the flashing CK ENG LT light. this would be a 2 digit code you would gather.
