I changed the sensor to a aftermarket one (bought an oem)
I also got new spark plugs, coils, valve cover but i keep throwing this code.
Could it be the aftermarket sensor ? What else should i check for

Which sensor did you replace?

If you got both codes, the problem is more than likely the "Camshaft Position Sensor", which is located behind the timing belt cover.

I doubt the problem is the new sensor, it is possible, but not likely. When was the last time you changed the timing belt? You could have a stretched timing belt.

Here is the list of the most common components that could set the P1361 code.

- Camshaft Position Sensor - 75%
- Top Dead Center Sensor - 10%
- Crankshaft Position Sensor - 10%
- Timing Belt Kit - 5%

My mechanic confirmed timing belt was fine.
So it most likely is a faulty sensor.
Will double check.
Car shows zero signs of faulty belt
Car runs & starts great up until this code comes on
The code usually comes on once the car reaches optimal temperature
