If the 02 sensor has a heater circuit on a 2004 Chevy Impala ss, does it then have a fuse or relay that protect the sensor?

Hi there,

In most cases the code is resolved by replacing the sensor. If there was a power supply issue to the sensor then you would have codes for more then one sensor.

This code if for bank 1 sensor 1 which is the sensor BEFORE the catalytic converter.
