How do I test the system to determine the problem myself?

i have a 2006 chevy silverado Z71 with a 5.3 liter vorteck. 4 wheel drive I'm getting a Po455 is there any way I can test that code myself to determine where my problem is with the evap? You can reach me at [email protected] or 216-403-6117, thank you.

P0455 Evaporative Emission control Large leak detected

Large leak at the evap system are more easily found by doing a visial inspection , missing fuel cap are some reason for large leaks , disconnected EVAP hose especially at the canister , or recent work with the fuel pump may allowed a evap emission hose to have gotten disconnected, or the fuel pump seal . do a visual check the emission lines for any disconnection of rupture emission hose expecailly the fuel filler hose.
