instrument cluster ' Recalculating Data'

My Mercedes Benz 2002 Cl600 cluster went dark when I bought it. I bought a used one and put it in but it didn't work well until some one showed me a place to repair my original cluster. It was repaired and everything comes on and works.....except it shows 'Calculating Data Please wait' on the dash.
What does that mean and why is it doing that?and what do I do about that?
However when you are done driving and you turn it off, it shows the distance you have gone on the cluster.
Recently it just came up with a code P0410
Please help what am I missing here or is that the normal thing for it to do.

P0410 Secondary air injection system malfunction

If you replace a different instrument cluster , and removed it and installed your original back in, you will need to reprogram the insturment cluster. As for P0410 this is for the secondary air injection system which is used at cold start up to reduce emission, the air injection heats up the catalytic to reduce harmful emission emitted into the atmoshphere.
