P0340 Ford - Mustang 2000 3.8 don´t know what to do

Hi, i´m not sure what to do here, I am from Chile and my mechanic is a family friend so he told me that i should buy the part to fix the po340 from the US because it will be cheaper. I´m looking online but i´m not really sure what to do and i don't really see a specific part i should get to fix this. i need to fix that before i take the car to the "revision tecnica" or technical revision which is obligatory here in order to drive the car in the city.

Any tips on how i should go about this?

P0340 is for Camshaft position sensor, if you battery and charging system are fine and there is no wiring issue replacing the sensor should fix the problem
