P2407 - what is the likely fix?

What is the most likely issue or fix in my 2002 Volvo s60 2.4 turbo w/this p2407 engine code? I see its an evap leak detection in pump from what my scanner says..what sensor could b bad? Or where exactly r the lines or conne tions at that could b leaking? Should I waste $40 on a smoke test or on buying a sensor which may or may not fix the problem? I'm 100% sure my gas cap is fine. Could I have caused this by topping off my gas tank? If that was the case tho, how would I fix this code? I'm in a non-emissions county but really want my engine lite off. Should I erase this one and only code n c if it comes back? Any advice is greatly appreciated. -Jamie

P2407 Leak diagnostic unit

What this cade mean is the signal is missing, this is where you check the connection the ECM just does not see it at all.If the connection are good the replacement of the Leak dignostic unit is needed.
