Code p0017 set, I got a ruff idle, temp gauge goes pass half, have to add coolant & misfire

This code is a problem with the cam position sensor. It's possible the engine is out of time and if it's using coolant, it could have a problem with the head gasket as well. If the coolant is going into the cylinder, it will cause a misfire. Here is some info on the code for you.
