how do I fix 0456 on my 2007 Honda Ridgeline?

I noticed the MIL was on and so I retightened the gas cap thinking that would solve the issue. It did not. After refueling to full, the MIL stayed on. I hooked up an ODB meter and error code was 0456-small leak in the evaporative system.

Hi there,

The best method to locate the small leak is a smoke test. Smoke is put into the evap system and will leak out. Once you locate the leak you can then repair it. This test is worth the money.
