transmission slipping

With the p0730 code, does this mean that I have a mechanical failure. Also have p0740 code.

has the transmission fluid been replaced? P0740 means the torque converter is not locking up causing it to slip.

dirty or low transmission fluid can cause this, the cheapest and easiest thing to do is replace the fluid and hopefully that will take care of the problem.
