Hello, I seem to be having a problem linking to Code P0451.

Question

I own a 2008 Mazda Tribute, when I attempt to fill the gas tank, the pump kicks back. The problem has been constant even during the summer months.

My mechanic says that there's a valve located on the gas tank that cannot be removed since it is welded on or a permanent part of the tank, I may need to change the gas tank.

Mazda Canada referred me to their mechanics for repair.
Do you have any suggestions?

P0451 Evap system malfunction

There is a TSB about this condition where the fuel fill vent tube tube becomes restriced and this is your concern.TSB #01-028/08. And there are incident where the fuel tank may need to be replaced for these condition.
