i am having codes P0496 and P0455 need advice

coming up on my 07 kia rio what part is most likely causing the problem the canister vent valve solenoid or the canister purge valve

Hi there,

With these codes it is more then likely an issue with the purge solenoid. The best way to tell is if the engine has trouble starting after you fill the tank with gas. If it does, then the purge solenoid is stuck open and the fuel vapors are going into the engine causing it to flood. If not, then the ccv is stuck open and causing the large evap leak.
