I got the codes C1201 and P0301 on my 2006 Scion xB VVT

Question

a 2006 Scion xB VVT have VSC, TRAC, and CHECK lights coming on at same time. The code pulled out is C1201-engine control system malfunction. Another code is P0301 for cylinder1 misfire.

C1201 ECM communication circuit malfunction

Whenever the CK ENG LT. appears the VSC and TRAC are disabled this is for safety reason .Correct for the misfire and C1201 will be satisfied, Misfire are more than likey from ignition coil being non operational.
