I have a chevy truck 6.6 diesel I got a code P1093 truck went into a safety mode of some kind could not get more than 2000 rpms barely made it home. what is it and what should I look for to fix it

Hi there,

The code is for the fuel rail pressure sensor. Basically the computer expects a certain fuel pressure. When it doesn't see that pressure it sets this code. Since oyu have these symptoms with the code, it's likely your fuel pump isn't putting out enough fuel pressure.
