2007 Kia Spectra with code P0700, how do I fix this?

I have a 2007 Kia Spectra it getting a code @ P0700 Trans. control system? How do I fix this?

This code basically means there is a code stored in the transmission control module and that the module has requested the check engine light to come on. This can be an issue with the tcm itself or a problem with the wiring to the module.
