p1404 can the egr valve be cleaned? or does it need replaced

2001 Saturn sc1 1.9l 4 cyl code p1404 came up. I checked it with my obd2 reader, It says egr vavle stuck closed. Can this just be cleaned? or will id need replaced?

yes you can clean and it might work, you can use wire brush and wd-40 and brake cleaner
