I have a 2008 buick enclave that had had some water damage to the battery and terminals. i replaced the positive cable and battery and now I'am getting a P1682 code and airbag light is on. The car will not crank most of the time and will start with a jump or disconnecting the negative cable and reconnecting. Any idea what this could be?

Vehicle: 2008 buick enclave 3.5 engine.

P1682 Ignition 1 switch circuit 2

What you have is a open or high resitance in your ignition 1 voltage. This is why you have crank some of the time, There are 2 ignition voltage. igngition voltage 1 supplies voltage to your ECM by way of a powertrain relay, through a fuse.Ignition 1 voltage also supplies power to the TAC (throttle actuator control)which may cause you to operate in reduce power, In the engine fuse/relay box replace relay listed as PWR/TRN use the fuse cover as a map for its location

Thanks for your response. I've tried replacing that relay earlier today but no change. The engine also hesitates to turn off. I've also check and replaced all fuses but they do not respond when I attempt to test them. Do you know of anything else I can try? Do you think the ECU or fuse box may need to be replaced?
