It showed a temp picture on the dash. I checked the temp through the steering wheel it was at 261 It wasn't acting funny but anyway I shut it off. My boyfriend took the cap off where you would put your coolant and it sprayed everywhere. We went to advance auto GOT something that you plug in for the fan because the fan didn't come on. We then went to start the car and it wouldn't start. Sounds like it wants to but won't.

Hi there,

The code is for the ignition switch or ignition switch circuit.  I would start by checking the fuses under the hood. If the coolant sprayed all over it might have blown one of the fuses.
