I have a 2006 ford focus 2.0 with a code p0741 the car shutters upon braking and stalls/cuts off the fluid was low so i filled it still have the problem. one thread said this is a common problem for year and model. Does anyone know if it is as simple as changing the torque converter clutch solenoid?
P0741 TCC (torque convertor clutch) slippage
When you get P0741 this means there is no TCC operation, you can also get slippage, But shuttering and stalls out , this sound like internal mechanical transmission, Yes P0741 is a common problem,If you change the TCC solenoid you will need to remove the transmission pan to access the solenoid, there you can check the fluid condition if there is heavy debris this will indicate a internal mechanical problem . If there is just a normal amount of debris replace the TCC solenoid
