Can the Progressive snap shot cause problems for your car?

I recently got the "snap shot" thing from Progressive. The day I put it in my 2003 Mazda Protege 5 it started to run horribly. Then the check engine light comes on and shows a code p0660. After I got the code checked, I forgot to plug "Flo" back in, and the car started to run fine. Is it possible for the snap shot thing to cause these kinds of problems?

It is not very likely that would cause the problem but its slightly possible, but you can disconnect it for a few days and reset the engine light and see if the engine light comes on or if the car is acting up
