What is the cost to repair the check enging light OBDII Code P0758

My daughter has been driving a 1999 camry with the check engine light on forever. Well now it won't pass the smog at a Star location. How much will it be to repair a check engine light on a 1999 Camry. I am a single parent and she uses the car to work and back and to take my grandson to daycare. She is only 20 so we both know nothing about mechanics.

Any help will be more than appreciated.

The P0758 means that there is a problem with the transmission. If there are no symptoms other than the engine light ON, you could try to clear the code and drive it. If the light comes back ON, then you may have to take it to a transmission shop for inspection.
