i changed the vent valve on my 2004 nissan sentra and delelted the code and the check engine light came back on

Usually replacing the valve takes care of the problem. Is it the same code? if it is, you have to check the wire connection and hoses. Also check if there is water inside the canister. If the hoses and connection are OK, and there is no water inside the canister you may have to replaced the EVAP control system pressure sensor.
