1998 Ford Explorer 2WD 4.0 SOHC with engine codes P1000 and P1260

The P1000 code is showing, and the truck will not start. also, the P1260 code is shown could that be why the truck is not starting and how can I get it to start.

The vehicle security system has disabled the starting system. It's possible that the key has failed. Try starting with another key. If you don't have another key, you may have to tow your vehicle to the dealer and have them reprogram another key for you.
