I have P0783 gear shift 3-4 does anyone know what this can be

I have A6 3TDI qattro automatic with triptronioc gear box 2005 its done about 150kMiles always serviced by Audi. I was driving and I heard a snap after which I lost all drive. Can select the gears but no drive.

does anyone know what the problem/problems are.

This code is for a 3-4 shift malfunction. This can be caused by low or dirty transmission fluid, a faulty shifting solenoid or a mechanical issue with the transmission. Here is some more info for you.
