I have a Mercury Grand Marquis 4.6L with code P1507, how do I fix the code?

Hi there,

This code is for the IAC (idle air control valve). This is mounted to the throttle body on the engine and looks like a small electric motor. Sometimes you can remove them and clean them up with some carb cleaner to resolve the problem. If it's sticking it will cause this code as well as possible hard starting either on a hot engine or a cold engine.
