what's the code for bad Catalytic Converter / pontiac

Question

I have a 2007 pontiac G6 with trouble code P0043. Does this mean I need a Catalytic Converter? Or is it just a bad bank 1 O2 sensor?

HI there,

This code is for the rear O2 sensor AFTER the catalytic converter. This doesn't mean you need a converter, it means the sensor after it has failed or is failing. P0430 and P0420 would be catalytic converter codes.
