Where is the range sensor located and how do we fix it on a 1999 Jeep Cherokee?

Hi there,

The range sensor is mounted to the outside of the transmission where the shift linkage attaches. To replace it you have to remove the cable, then the bolts that hold the switch on and replace.To adjust the switch once it's on, put the key on and the truck into reverse. Turn the switch until the back up lights come on and tighten them up
