P1615 error message vehicle turnover but won’t start

I have a 2008 Nissan Quest that won’t start with an error code of P1615 that state new key or key unmatched the vehicle can go into program mode but that all it will do. It does turn over but just won’t start. Before this happened I was unable to use the remote start unless the key was in the ignition and one time the vehicle was running and I was unable to turn it off even with the key totally removed. It seems like if the vehicle can go into programs mode that the vehicle should be reading the key should. My wife went to the store and turn the vehicle off and it haven’t started since. She said it drove normal but it didn’t act like it wanted to crank before she left but it did. The alarm light work as normal blink and go out when you try to start the vehicle.

Either the key got damaged or your vehicle ECM lost the program. Do you have another key? if you don't, my best advice is to call a locksmith to try to reprogram the key to the ECM. Also, you could try resetting the system by disconnecting the car battery for about 30 minutes. I hope that helps.
