What does it mean when it says engine power reduced?

I have a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and it keeps saying engine power reduced and the car decrease speed. It says Engine power reduced, Esc Off and Traction. What is going on with my car? What do I need to do to fix it?

This normally comes on when there is a problem with the throttle body. This will also bring on your traction control lights.

You need to have it checked for codes to try and solve this problem.
