Hi, my Fusion started running very rough, check engine light came on. I drove it as easy as possible and coasted when I could for about 5 blocks to get home. Engine was out (1/2 quart left inside??)of oil. I put oil in and let it cool off. Started again check engine light off but immediately came back on. Still running rough, no power, feels like its going to die. Had it tested, cylinder 2 misfire. Replaced #2 sparkplug tested coil pack its ok too. Do you think I messed up a valve? Or something else bad inside the engine? Manual says it has a "safe-mode" to prevent engine damage. Does this go off by itself when problem is fixed?

Hi there,

Yes, it is possible there is internal engine damage, but there is a lot of other possible causes for a misfire that you should consider first. Here is a list for you.
