Where is the starter and how do I change it out ?

All I hear is the solenoid spinning and not engaging the starter. I can feel the starter underneath but can not see the bolts to take it off. Do I also disconnect one of the battery terminals ? I tried jumping it off first but that did not work and tapping on the starter but that did not work either. Can someone please help me. Thank you.
