The P1762 code comes up on my 2000 Dodge Dakota V6

P1762 comes on my code reader my truck is 2000 Dodge Dakota V6 my problem I'm having is sometimes my transmission want shift into hi gear say from second fear & sometimes it will head down & sometimes it does fine what is my problem?
