P1404 CHEVROLET - yes my 98 camaro has this code pop up and its feels like the heater is on but it actually isnt...what should i do??

This code is for the egr closed position performance.

The most common cause for this code is a blocked egr tube from the engine to the egr valve.

This code can also be a result of the egr valve failing or the wiring to it causing the problem. There are some bulletins out there for a possible reprogramming. As for the heater, this should have nothing to do with it.
