P1404 Chevrolet -

Question

My truck received two codes P1404 & p1404pd.
The EGR valve has been replaced and the ECM has been reprogramed by a GM mechanic.
No other codes came up.
The vaccum is good at the intake and the exhaust is clear.
I used Motorvac in the gas and the top end cleaing detergent.
Maybe I shoud go back to the old school and pump some water through it!!

P1404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) closed position perfromance

This is the VCM causing this code condition there are 2 TSB that have been produced about this code TSB # 86-65-03A Tilted DTC P1404 False EGR valve pintle position signal, where the VCM is reflashed  this reflash make the VCM less suspectible to noise and TSB # 01-06-04-043.which  is for computer diagnosis for the EGR causing false code P1404 .
