Caliber 2007 light on now codes PO700 and P161B

Question

For several days the battery light was on and two days ago I need to pass the smog check and didn't passed codes PO700 and P161B I and since that day the check engine light is on , only know that is something with the transmission , bad wiring or something like that if I am asking here for help is because I am 58 years old grandma and I don't have anybody to ask about it, if is something with the transmission I can't afford it. Thanks for any help.

Hi there,

The P0700 code is letting you know there is another code stored on the computer.

The P161B code indicates an issue with the TCM. This could be because of a low battery charge or an issue with the TCM, Here is some more info for you.
