I have a 2009 Alitma Coupe 2.5 with 212,000 mi. Had a couple issues with the RPM and no speed response, lose of power speed dropped to 60 when I had been going 80 for ove 1 hr. No more issues till about 4 mo later when heard a high pitch whine but no power lose. Had transmission fluid changed and while on a trip this wknd lost power to 45 mi/hr try to excelerate and rpm flips up to 5000 then rapidly drops. Eventually able to sustain higher speeds. Had the ck eng light come prior to this and code was P1778. Would this be a repairable issue or require replacement. The fluide was the proper fluid according to the VIN #

The P1778 is for the Step Motor, and according to some users you can replace the step motor, but the problem is that the dealer doesn't sell the step motor by itself, and there are no instructions on the service manual to replace the motor. You may have to have a transmission shop inspected and find out if they can replace the motor.
