Can a faulty Cam position sensor cause a P2638 fault code?

Question

I just bought a 2014 jeep wrangler unlimited with 104605 miles on it. I drove it for one day a total of 82 miles at around 25 miles the check engine light cam on. The car stalled three different times during the other 57 miles. Each time the stall was while Jeep was stopped in drive with foot on break. When I got to a safe place to check with OBDII. The following codes were present:
