Dear Sir,

Thanks a lot for your great help.

When I took my car the the workshop. It was scanned and the error code was P0796 (Pressure control solenoid Valve#3 is stack off). After the scanning I start discussing the code with the mechanic. I felt that he was not confidence and did not know what is the problem. He mentioned to me that he would need to open the oil pan and get the solenoid out and test it. Moreover he said to me that he will not guaranty his work. So I did not feel well letting him fixing my car. I tried with another workshop. But I could not find specialized one in my area. Forget to mentioned that the workshop rest the code P0796 after they scan the car for me.

So I decided to try doing it myself if possible. So I drained the oil and I open the pan. After I opened the oil pan I discovered that the solenoid valve are not separated as I was told to me by the mechanic. But rather it is a control solenoid valve assembly.

Now I already opened the oil pan. So do you suggest me to go ahead and change the assembly and reprogram the car. or shall I remove the assembly and clean it, take it to a workshop for testing and installing it again if it passes the test and it is OK. appreciate you kine help and support in this matter.

Regards,
Yousef Ahmad.
