Why is my oxygen sensor different?

Question

All sensors I see for sale have a female end but, mine just has a 3" black rubber thing with the 4 wires running through it.
Is there a universal one instead of paying Mercedes over $200 for one sensor?

The one that came with the car was there when it was new.
There is no plug n play just, a piece of black rubber about 3" long that does not come apart.

The part should be a Bosh. or genuine MBZ. the 02 should be a plug in and play. unless they gave you something different. You can get a universal one, the problem is you have to use the old terminal end, even if they state there is no adaptation, do not belive it or clear the code regardless if there is a code or not. when you do that you reset not only the monitor . but also the fuel trim. and it goes and adapt. a bad way is disconnect the battery, and you take a chanced of the SRS light on forever
