2002 VW BEETLE DTC p0113 AND P0342

Question

2002 VW Beetle will not start but will turn over. Have DTC P0113 AND P0342. what could be my problem and what would you advise me to perform first. checked the timing belt and its in great condition.

P0113 Intake air temperature sensor circuit high

P0342 Camshaft position sensor "A" circuit low

These codes the engine would start, just having a great shape on the timing belt, it is still suspectable, The timing belt tension tends to strip out tooth on the timing belt. If you can turn the engine by hand by the means of a socket and wrench and check for missing tooth on the timing belt. you may jumped .
