I already asked the question about ignoring the P0411 code but I am not sure that the answer that I received actually pertained to the faulty valve, which I should have mentioned.

Will my catalytic converter be damaged if I don't fix the problem?

P0411 is for the secondary air injection valve, this warms up the catalytic convertor , to operating temperature during a cold start, If there is a EGR problem  those should not be ignored, what the EGR does is take already consumed gases such as the exhaust and introduce it into the combustion chamber being inert cools the combustion temperature , driver that have purposely blocked the EGR puts a hole in the engine pistons
