Does P0700 mean a new tranny or change the fluid?

I have a 98 civic with 1.6 4cyl. It sat up for a year. It has a code of P0700. Trying to fix the problem

This code means there is a fault in the transmission control module. It is only an information code and not telling you what's wrong with the transmission. Best to have the transmission control module scanned.
