check engine light goes on then off after a short time.

My 2014 Mazda 5's check engine light has come on several times then off after several days. The Mazda dealer said the error code was for a lean mixture. They have told me it's intermittent. I brought it to the dealer's service department while the CE light was still on, but they have had the car for three days and they still have not diagnosed the problem. Are they missing something or is this an unusual problem?

This code is caused by several different things. I can't be sure what they have checked and it's not really that uncommon a code and shouldn't be difficult for them to find the problem. Here is a list of possible causes so you can find out if these items have been tested.
