I have been trying to understand error codes. And I have trouble understanding what high and low refer to. Is it the voltage, pressure, or temperature? It would be a great help if you could answer this question

HI there

It really depends on the sensor, but in most cases high and low refers to voltage. If something has high voltage, it usually means the computer is seeing to much voltage. This could be due to a short to power, or something in the sensor itself is sending to much power.

Low is just the opposite. The computer is seeing to little voltage. Most of the time this is a signal sent to the computer via it's signal line from the sensor. Low voltage can mean the sensor is fried and not sending any signal, or the signal wire is broken and not sending any info to the computer.

Hope this helps you out. In most cases sensors send voltage to the computer and that is how the computer knows what to do
