What test points do I refer to to test vss on a 96 Ford Explorer 4x4 4.0 lt

Code P0500 came up replaced vss sensor still not working. Going to test voltage but not sure what points and what the voltage range should be

The vehicle speed sensor ,the one on the top of the rear differential , ? You may also have one on the front differential, that one if there is one on the front seems to always get past many.
