My 2014 equinox won't keep running, acts like it is out of gas?

Equinox starts okay, but randomly just dies. Will start again with no problem and may run fine or die again. Does not always cause the check engine light to come on and may run fine for a few days. Or, may die every few minutes. Check engine light comes and goes. It started after filling the tank so thought it might be a bad tank of gas. However a new fill up didn't cure it.

Bad fuel if it was you would set a throttle position sensor code a accelerator pedal code and a lean code condition and may be with a random misfire, There been seen debris from a gas station where its filter has not removed some debris and over time you build up a settlement of debris, this affects the fuel pump strainer. You can benefit if you add a fuel injection cleaner, Not only will this help in the fuel tank this engine being a direct fuel injection tend to build up carbon in the intake manifold.which causes misfire and hard start up.
