Working on a 2003 Saturn Vue with the 3.0 V6 engine, just replaced the camshaft position sensor after getting code P0343 (camshaft circuit high)
Cleared code with scanner but code came back after a good warm-up and caused stalling, however it doesn't seem to do it with short trips and cooler weather, is the timing belt expanding and stretching due to the heat and causing this?

P0343 Camshaft position sensor circuit high

What the ECM also do is look for open circuit ,which are circuit high, short circuit, grounded circuit, and rationality, the code you have is a open circuit, or a disconnection, when the camshaft position sensor signal is no longer being received by the ECM it defaults the fuel injection and will fire using the sparkplug mating cylinder, the engine will still run without the camshaft signal., The camshaft receives power from the ECM/CAM fuse which is a white wire that goes to the camshaft position sensor , if there is no power there or a power loss there the engine would stall and during a cranking the engine would not start. This has nothing to do with the timing belt. , if it had anything to do with a stretch timing belt it would set a P0341 which is camshaft signal circuit / performance or a camshaft position signal low.
