At the switch I do not have power on the orange wire in the accessory setting but I get power on the orange wire when I turn the switch to the on position. Is this the way it is suppose to be? Or should there be power in the accessory setting? I am lost. Is the brown wire at the switch an accessory wire also? Please help me out. Thank you.

Yes the orange wire is battery voltage

Here so we are talking the same situation. . you can intermittently loose this , due to high resistance
